Dr. Christen Diel is a Doctor of Clinical Laboratory Science (DCLS) and certified Clinical Chemist (CC) who serves as a High Complexity Laboratory Director and Clinical Consultant with Delta Pathology. She brings nearly a decade of clinical laboratory experience, progressing from bench scientist to leadership roles that emphasize quality assurance, test utilization, and interdisciplinary consultation. Her doctoral research investigated laboratory reference intervals for transgender and non-binary adults on gender-affirming hormone therapy. Her published works include clinical practice guidelines with the American Society of Microbiology for reducing blood culture contamination and rapid diagnostic testing for blood stream infections.
Dr. Diel has been recognized with multiple professional awards, including honors from the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science and Rutgers University. She remains actively engaged in professional service through the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences and ASCLS, where she supports initiatives in quality, education, and inclusion.
