Dana Vaughan, M.Ed and MLS

Dana Vaughan is a dedicated laboratory professional with over 14 years of experience spanning both clinical practice and education. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science from Northern Michigan University and a Master of Education from Grand Valley State University.

Dana began her career as a medical laboratory scientist (MLS) generalist, working in key areas such as chemistry, hematology, and transfusion medicine. She later served as a technical specialist in the clinical chemistry section of a large, high-volume laboratory.

In 2018, Dana transitioned to academia and has since been teaching primarily clinical chemistry courses in the Medical Laboratory Science program at Grand Valley State University. She is also an active member of the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCLS).
