About
Douglas Aroca started his career in the laboratory with the Army back in 2003. A generalist by trade, his career has progressed from being a bench scientist through leadership roles at varying sizes of hospitals in both the civilian and military sectors. He obtained his bachelor’s in clinical laboratory science from Winston-Salem State University and is currently a resident in Rutgers’ Doctor of Clinical Laboratory Science program. Douglas resides in Colorado with his wife, son, and Australian shepherd. When he’s not in the laboratory, he is an active outdoor enthesitis. He has completed thru-hikes of the Appalachian Trail, Pacific Crest Trail, Hayduke Trail, and Tahoe Rim Trail. He participates in ultra-marathon running during the summer and does ski mountaineering during the winter.
