About
Ismail is a Doctor of Clinical Laboratory Science (DCLS) resident at Rutgers University, expected to graduate in May 2026. He is certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) and licensed as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) in both New York and California.
With more than ten years of combined technical, academic, and supervisory experience, his work has spanned chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and quality management. As part of his DCLS residency, Ismail is conducting research on autoimmune encephalitis testing and utilization management, exploring ways to strengthen diagnostic stewardship and result interpretation in complex neuroimmunology testing. He also teaches in the Rutgers MLS program, where he mentors students in laboratory methods and research communication.
