About
I am currently a Rutgers University DCLS Resident at AdventHealth Ocala Hospital in Ocala, Florida. Since 2010, I have worked as a Medical Technologist at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida, where I have held multiple roles including Night Shift Technologist, Evening Shift Technical Supervisor, Quality Assurance Coordinator, and now Lead MT at the UF Health Emergency Department – Kanapaha Laboratory.
After earning my Master’s in Clinical Laboratory Science from Rutgers University in 2018, I was given the opportunity to teach as an online Adjunct Instructor for the University of West Florida and Santa Fe College Medical Laboratory Science Programs. Teaching and mentoring future medical technologists has been an incredibly rewarding experience, one I hope to continue in the future.
Beyond my professional work, I am actively involved in professional organizations, serving as Chair of the ASCLS Nominations Committee, a past President of the Florida Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (FSCLS), and currently as President of the Philippine Association of Medical Technologists (PAMET-USA), Inc. Central Florida Chapter. Over the past 15+ years, these affiliations have greatly enriched my career, providing opportunities to attend national conferences, foster professional growth, and build lasting friendships across the laboratory community.
