Shante' Rice, MT, MLS(ASCP)

Shante' Rice currently resides in Lexington, South Carolina, and is a Doctor of Clinical Laboratory Science (DCLS) student at Rutgers University. She is completing her DCLS residency at Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia, where she is expanding her expertise in advanced laboratory medicine and clinical consultation. Shante' earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Francis Marion University in 2010, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science from the University of West Florida in 2015. She began her laboratory career as a night-shift Medical Technologist at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, where she advanced to Lead Medical Technologist.

Prior to beginning her residency, she worked at the Department of Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic in Tallahassee, Florida, gaining extensive experience in hematology, coagulation, clinical chemistry, and immunology. Passionate about advancing the laboratory profession and improving patient care, Shante' is committed to bridging the gap between the clinical laboratory and healthcare providers through education, consultation, and evidence-based practice.

Outside of work, Shante' enjoys traveling, watching sports, and exploring foods from different cultures. Above all, she treasures spending time with her family, especially her husband, energetic young son, and daughter, who keep life joyful, busy, and full of adventure.
