Justin Hanenberg is a Doctor of Clinical Laboratory Science (DCLS) resident at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, in affiliation with Rutgers University. With more than 15 years of experience in hematology/oncology, coagulation, autoimmunity, method validation, project management, and workflow analysis, Justin brings a deep understanding of both the scientific and operational aspects of laboratory medicine.

Their professional background spans some of the nation’s leading healthcare institutions, including Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where they contributed to original research and quality improvement initiatives that enhanced clinical practice. Justin’s clinical expertise is complemented by over a decade in the in vitro diagnostics (IVD) industry, holding roles in technical applications, sales, and marketing with companies such as Sebia and Diagnostica Stago.

Passionate about health equity, communication, and innovative models for diagnostic care delivery, Justin aims to strengthen the connection between the laboratory and the broader healthcare system. Based in the Los Angeles area, they enjoy outdoor activities, fitness, and organizing events within the LGBTQ+ community.
